mgr Paula Mordalska
Psychologist, clinical specialisation
About the specialist
I am a psychologist who approaches my work with genuine engagement and curiosity about the other person. I am fascinated by the complexity of human personality - the way we think, experience emotions and the mechanisms that shape our functioning. Every person perceives the world in a unique way, carries their own story, and faces different challenges.
In my work, the person comes first - their experience, perspective and needs. I treat diagnosis as a tool that supports the process, not as a label that defines the individual. I start from the belief that, regardless of the difficulties someone is facing, everyone has resources, potential and the strength to change - qualities I strive to bring to the surface.
During sessions, I focus on discovering and reinforcing strengths, building self-esteem and supporting motivation for change. I help identify needs and name emotions that have often remained unspoken for years. Empathy and mindfulness form the foundation of my work, but constructive confrontation with maladaptive patterns of thinking and behaviour is equally important. Together with the patient, I look for more supportive strategies rooted in their individual resources.
I am particularly interested in the field of addictions, as well as eating disorders, psychodietetics and anxiety disorders. On a daily basis I support people going through life crises and adjustment difficulties, as well as those struggling with low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem or lack of motivation. I also provide psychoeducation and consultations for relatives of people with addictions.
