About the specialist

My name is Sylwia Kupczyk-Krzysztofik. I am a certified addiction psychotherapy specialist. In December 2025, I advanced my professional qualifications by obtaining the title of specialist in the field of addiction psychotherapy.

I provide therapy for people with addictions and their families, helping those who have lost control over their lives due to psychoactive substance use or frequent engagement in risky behaviours (including gambling, sex, shopping and online gaming) regain that control. I have experience working with adolescents, and I also offer consultations for couples affected by addiction as well as for individuals who grew up in families with addiction problems.

I believe that a person is a complex being and that addiction problems represent only one part of the patient's life. In my work with patients, I strive to help them regain inner peace, self-worth and a sense of agency.

I gained my experience primarily in addiction treatment clinics funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ) and in private facilities.

I continuously improve my qualifications. I have completed additional training in short-term couples and family therapy, Motivational Interviewing, sexual problems in addiction, and the impact of trauma on the development of addiction.
